Cape Coral Launches Redesigned Website to Enhance Accessibility, Engagement, Ease of Use

website redesignDecember 18, 2025

The City of Cape Coral has launched its newly designed official website, featuring improved navigation, enhanced accessibility, and better compatibility across mobile phones, tablets, and other smart devices.

The website refresh was designed to make it easier for residents, businesses, and visitors to quickly find information, access city services, and stay informed. Key improvements include a cleaner layout, more intuitive menu structure, improved search functionality, and updates to ensure compliance with accessibility standards under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The project was spearheaded internally by the City’s Website Specialist and completed using the City’s existing website platform, allowing the City to avoid the cost of a full website platform replacement. The total cost of the refresh was approximately $12,000.

Additional enhancements focus on improving readability, simplifying content organization, and supporting future updates as the City’s digital needs evolve..

Highlighted content now includes:

  • Mobile-friendly design, responsive for phones and tablets.
  • “Live, Play, & Work” quick links for residents, businesses, and visitors.
  • Expanded recreation pages for events and programs.
  • Built-in accessibility features support users with visual impairments and assistive technologies such as screen readers.
  • CeCe the Manatee, your virtual AI assistant.

New tools and resources:

  • The Development Services Map enables residents to quickly locate common permits and guidelines in a mobile-friendly graphical interface.
  • An improved Emergency Management & Resilience page, providing critical information in a fast, easy format for urgent situations.
  • A dedicated City Project Updates section, featuring ongoing improvements for the community.

Cape Coral encourages everyone to explore the new website at CapeCoral.gov and discover improved access to city services, updates, and community news.
